Dick and I want to thank you for all you do to help us in fulfilling our ‘bucket list’. We just returned from our second Yangtze River Cruise. The first was in 2001 before the Three Gorges Dam was completed, and we wanted to see the changes since the river has raised. It is still a magnificent trip. China has changed a lot in those 12 years, at least in the Beijing, Shanghai area. The cities are beautiful and modern.
We took the Viking River Cruise (Imperial Jewels of China – on the Viking Emerald) this time and were treated royally. They provided excellent hotels (The Westin and Crowne Plaza) on the land portion of our tour in Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. There were many great excursions plus optional tours that we also enjoyed. We found our guides to be very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the trip.
There have been several excellent reviews of China on your site that I cannot express as well, only to say if you a looking for a great adventure, this would be it.
