Andy and Sandy Conner recently visited Alaska, beginning their trip in Fairbanks, visiting Denali, Anchorage, Girdwood, and cruising from Seward to Vancouver.
They initially visited Alaska in February, 2004. They say, “While the sheer size of Alaska is always evident, some things are emphasized by the season such as the remoteness of some communities in the winter or the ice hotel at Chena Hot Springs while some things such as river rafting and glacier viewing are practical only in the summer. The diversity over the course of the year from -40 degrees in the winter to +90 degrees in the summer point out the strength and hardiness of the Alaskan people.”
