Las Vegas – Something for Everyone

As a non-gambler, I was always a bit of a skeptic about Las Vegas so it was not at the top of my “Travel Bucket List”. However, after a recent trip to Las Vegas to celebrate our birthdays and wedding anniversary, my husband and I realized that Las Vegas should be on everyone’s list. Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway, planning a corporate event/meeting or celebrating a special occasion, Las Vegas is the place to be! In Las Vegas, you can find some of the best hotels in the world, non-stop entertainment and nightlife, fine dining and shopping, world-class golf and of course, casinos.

The Weekend Getaway:

Las Vegas is the perfect place for that weekend getaway. If you are looking for a romantic escape with the one you love, Vegas is a great place to consider. Imagine a suite at the Bellagio overlooking the lake and musical fountain show, couple spa treatments, a romantic candlelight dinner and a show. Or if you are just looking to get away from the pressures of every day life, Vegas is the perfect escape. Whether you decide to relax in the casinos or on one of the many golf courses, the options for fun are unlimited. I would highly recommend a trip to Fremont Street. Nick and I spent the entire day on Fremont Street and had a wonderful time. Stop by the Golden Gate Hotel for their famous shrimp cocktail (Voted Best in Las Vegas) or enjoy a wonderful dinner at the Golden Nugget. You can also take schedule tours from Las Vegas, such as a trip to the Hoover Dam or a helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon. If you prefer to be on your own schedule, I would highly recommend renting a car for the day and making the 3 hour drive to the West Rim to see the new Grand Canyon Skywalk, which is an architectural marvel. The current cost is $43 per person for the Legacy Pass and approximately $30 per adult to walk on the glass bridge. The Corporate Event/Meeting:

Las Vegas continues to be the world’s premier meeting, convention and trade show destination, with more guest rooms and function space than any other city. Whether you are planning an intimate poolside mixer, a general session for 10,000, or a major international convention, Las Vegas has earned its reputation as the destination where anything is possible. With unlimited options for events and functions, Las Vegas is the perfect place for your next meeting.
