Spring Break in Orlando

Written by Ashley Kong (Classic Travel Intern, Fall 2014).

Orlando has always been on the top of my dream travel list. The beautiful scenery, the warm weather, and the amazing fairy tale kingdom are all things that attract me to stay there again and again.

From Michigan, Orlando is a great choice for your spring break holiday. You could spend a whole week there enjoying the summer weather and forgetting the snow in your hometown.

Disney World

As a worldwide well-known entertainment complex in Bay Lake, Florida near Orlando, Disney World is one of the best places you should go during your whole life. With 27 themed resort hotels, four theme parks, two water parks, and many other related entertainment facilities, Disney World is worth spending several days.

Magic Kingdom Park

As the first and original theme park to open in the complex, Magic Kingdom Park attracts millions of visitors every year and is the most visited theme park in the world. It is dedicated to fairy tales and Disney characters.

For us, parade and fireworks are two things on the top of our list. Meeting the cartoon characters along the street and enjoying the storytelling fireworks makes us feel like our childhood. This magic world helps us to realize a child’s dream and bring laughter and peace during busy times.

Tip: Try to use the Fast Pass during your whole trip in Magic Kingdom. This will help you save a lot of time and enjoy efficient play.

Epcot Park

As the second of four theme parks, Epcot is more than twice the size of the Magic Kingdom. Spending a whole day there and wearing a pair of comfortable shoes are wise choices. World Showcase is our main goal there.

World Showcase is a large area reminiscent of a permanent world’s fair containing eleven pavilions, each themed and dedicated to represent a specific country. The countries surround the World Showcase Lagoon, a large man-made lake located in the center of World Showcase. There, you could enjoy various styles of architecture from different countries. Seeing the globe in one park makes your dream of a worldwide trip come true!

Tips: Bring comfortable shoes, fashionable sunglasses, sunscreen, and enough water with you! Be prepared to walk a whole day there!

Hotel & Food

Seafood is always our first choice when we travel in Florida. Red Lobster and other tiny but great seafood restaurants compose our daily meals. Walk in one and enjoy the shrimp, lobsters, and oysters and you will never want to leave!

Booking a family hotel with a great deal before your wonderful trip is a wise decision when you have several members in your travel team. There you could live, relax, and cook just like in your own house.
